Term 1 My score: 38/45 (Joint-highest in class! Yay!) My best result among all three terms as my strength was "linked" to this term's topics. My strength was not exactly the concept that was tested; it is just that thus term's test had many questions that logic and a clear mind could easily answer. Also, I think that we were just being integrated into the Secondary 1 Science curriculum, so the teachers took it easier on us in the first term. After downplaying my achievement, let's look at how I have grown in this term.
Scientific concept: Did not really learn much new stuff, as this term was just an introduction to the learning and applications of Science. Also, many things that the teacher explained to us could be inferred logically, like what to do and not to do in the lab. Major thing I learnt was the experimental apparatus and in what situation should I use a certain apparatus.
Exam skills: First term in secondary school, exam format similar to primary school, just fewer marks and the presence of Critical Response Questions. Answered some questions a bit too vaguely, need to be straight to the point.
Critical thinking: Completely illogical answer cost me 1 mark, other than that, seem to have put my QMCT skills to good use.
